Who we are

We are Ricardo Martins and Vanessa Lima — married for more than two decades, parents of Arthur Levi and Anne Amber, pastors, and creators of The Legendary Couple (O Casal Legendário in Portuguese), a Christian marriage project born out of our own story.

Our marriage almost ended. I (Ricardo) was the problem in my marriage. Vanessa gave God a chance — and what God did with that “yes” is what we teach and live out every single day. We don’t talk about marriage as theory. We talk as people who hit the bottom and came back with Christ at the center.

What we do

• Daily content on Christian marriage, restoration after betrayal, communication, intimacy, parenting and faith — short and long videos on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, in Portuguese and English.
• Salve Meu Casamento (“Save My Marriage”): eBooks, prayers and practical guides for couples in crisis, plus a 21-Day Guide, a step-by-step plan to strengthen or restore a marriage with Christ at the center.
• Speaking, retreats and churches: we minister at couples’ conferences, men’s and women’s events and churches in Brazil and the United States.
• Book: Quando o amor recomeça (“When Love Begins Again”), Ricardo Martins & Vanessa Lima, Citadel, 2026 — our story and the path to restoration, currently being released in Brazil.

Ricardo Martins

Author, pastor and speaker. Ricardo is the leading Brazilian spokesperson for Legendários, an international men’s movement headquartered in the United States and active in several countries, calling men to honor, purpose and responsibility at home. Before ministry he built a prominent career in Brazilian real estate, featured by national outlets such as Exame, ISTOÉ and Estadão. Today his voice serves one cause: men who come back home and marriages that come back to life.

Vanessa Lima

An architect by training, pastor and co-author of The Legendary Couple. Vanessa speaks to women about forgiveness, identity, motherhood and the courage to rebuild trust. Her story of forgiveness is the foundation of everything this blog teaches: forgiveness is not weakness, it’s a decision — and nobody has to forgive alone.

What we believe

1. Christ at the center. Marriage is a covenant of three: you, your spouse and God.
2. Truth with grace. We say the hard truth about betrayal, pride, pornography and indifference — always with hope.
3. Nobody changes the other person. Restoration starts when one of the two decides to change first.
4. Professional help is a blessing. Our content is pastoral and educational; where there is trauma, abuse or danger, we point people to Christian therapists and emergency help.
